Software packages for statistical analyses
The following software programmes are useful for the analysis
of quantitative data. Some of them offer free demo versions for
download or student versions, which are sometimes restricted to a
certain number of variables or cases. Please help to complete the list

Package for the Social Sciences - now available in Version 17 for PC
and Macintosh
AMOS - can
be purchased together with SPSS, which makes working with both
programmes easier

- free downloadable trial version, Student Version reduced in price AND

the website; great for multilevel
modelling and latent growth curve modelling

- Multilevel Modelling, FREE if you are affiliated with an institution
in the UK
G-Power
- a free and general Power Analysis programme
R -
completely free and very useful for various sorts of analyses
