As you may know, the term of our current representative Irene is soon coming to an end and Jenny will take over her responsibilities. This means that the post of deputy rep is open for election. We are seeking to elect a deputy representative at the EARA conference in Vilnius in May and want YOU to volunteer!
Three positions are to be filled: the deputy representative,
the international representative, and the position of the
communications secretary.
As deputy representative, you work closely with our current representative Jenny and participate in the activities and decisions Jenny makes as rep. Please note that this position is restricted to European citizens, and is open to students and early career members who are not more than two years in receipt of their PhD.
As international rep, you have lots of room for your own ideas as thisposition is new. Tasks may involve the organization of cross-cultural events or meetings at conferences and communication with SRA’s Emerging Scholar International Committee Member.
The communications secretary is reponsible for the maintainance of the mailing list and distribution of information to all members of the SECNET. In this position, you will work closely with the representative and the appointed webmaster of EARA (proposed).
